I've never expected that an Internet Explorer or a Safari game could compete with Sony's, Microsoft's or Nintendo's game consoles. The damsel in distress is a browser game called Kantai Collection (KanColle), that currently is available only on Japanese market..
I would like to share with you a few photos and a video from this year’s Tokyo Game Show in that was held in Makuhari Messe, Japan. After last year’s show (TGS’12) my expectations were not super high, as I was on the way to the venue. TGS 2012 was mostly aimed at mobile gaming which, personally, is not my pair of shoes. What is worth mentioning is the large amount of people moving toward the exhibition halls from the station. Nevertheless, the atmosphere was very good and friendly. Something I could hardly believe at first! After a 10-minute walk from the station, I reached a checkpoint where you need to show your belongings to a staff member/security. Then it is time to wave your tickets at the staff members and we are in..
I've awaited this event for some time and when it finally 'arrived' on 22 and 23 of March, anime fans in Japan and around the world had their little celebration. All because of long waited Anime Japan 2014 (formerly known as Tokyo International Anime Fair). The event took place in he halls of Tokyo's Big Sight. I think it's good the name has been changed as it sounds much better now.
Many people find Japanese TV boring, silly or even annoying. The first time I saw a Japanese commercial (CM) was quite a culture shock. There is much more "action" and spontaneity in Japanese CM. The amusing factor makes it less annoying experience if you have to watch them slicing your favorite show or drama into pieces. Yup! You do see them often in TV, even much more then on Polish TV. However, the latter can rarely surprise you! Check the video below a portion of adverts:)
